Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro constantly losing browser protection.

Recommended Posts

Greetings!
Am using Eset Mobile Security with Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro, Android 11, MIUI 12.5.2 Stable Global
ESET MS constantly alerting about no protected browsers. I have to go back to giving  Permission to access  browsers.
I am sure this is a MIUI problem because I have an older Motorola Z3 Play and never had this problem.
Is there a way to solve this?
Thanks for your attention and help.
Health, Peace and Success for all!

Marcos thanks for the prompt answer.

Changed permissions as instructed. The only one I couldn't find was to change Bluetooth connectivity. But I think the othets will suffice.

Let's see how it behaves from now on.

Will post results later, after some time  checking behavior.

Thanks a lot!

Greetings!
Unfortunately the problem persists.
Changed battery settings per instructions on link.
When I get the "No protected browsers" message I also get a message to "allow Accessibility to
enable Anti-Phishing".

This happens although Accessibility is already allowing Eset Anti-Phishing.

So I disable Accessibility authorization and reenable it.
Eset browsers Anti-Phishing protection is reenabled.

After tweaking battery settings for ESET
the only difference is ESET browsers
Anti-Phishing protection stays on for
longer periods.

Main problem seems to be Xiaomi's
MIUI Accessibility implementation.

Be well! Health and Peace!

Hello L Olsson,
If you have ESET Mobile version 7.15 installed, this is the problem. Probably not Xiaomi / MIUI.
See these two posts :

Version 7.16 has just been released on the Play Store for Samsung A51 ... but I'll wait a bit before installing it. 😉
Please check the Play Store for your device. The update may be available.

Regards

Michel

I really have a problem with the version number.

To sum up:
Your current version is probably 7.0.15.0 (the one with problems).
The corrected version to expect is 7.0.16.0.

Phew sorry...

You can create a support ticket via the build-in form, however, I doubt that this is a problem of ESET Mobile Security but it's rather a problem of the pre-installed battery saver/optimizer.
