Do you really have the legacy ESET Virtualization Security purchased and installed on a supported hypervizor (VMware NSX)? It's already in limited support and it's not sold any more.

Endpoints are supposed to appear in the Desktop section regardless of whether they are physical or virtual machines.

The VM section is where the legacy product ESET Virtualization Security appears if you have installed it which is not the case.
