Nico971 0
Hello I have a locked down profile for ESET with password set to not let end user modify advanced configuration. But i want to let them configure local exclusion list. With this option in the capture below. Problem is it asks for the password configuration ... Is there a way to configure the exclusion list without password , but keep the password for advanced configuration ? thx
Administrators Solution Marcos 5,408 Posted September 2, 2021 Administrators Solution Share Posted September 2, 2021 No, it's not possible. Exclusions can be dangerous and effectively even disable real-time protection, hence they are password protected. In case of Endpoint you could disable password protection and lock the desired settings via a policy, however, keep in mind that even attackers typically misuse exclusions to run malware after gaining access to the system.
