Ilya42i 0
Hi. When creating a task for remote installation of antivirus software using ESET Protect 8.0, the Failed to sync package repository error occurs. See the trace message for details. (GetFile: Failed to process HTTP request (error code: 20033, url: 'http: //repository.eset.com/v1//com/eset/apps/business/ees/windows/metadata3')) but the agent is propagating normal and no errors. Can't figure out where the error is.
Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted August 20, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 20, 2021 Do clients connect directly to the Internet or through a proxy server? Have you tried troubleshooting the issue as per https://support.eset.com/en/kb6749 ? Do the clients have all outbound communication allowed on the perimeter firewall? Ilya42i 0
I do not have the Internet on my clients' machines prohibited by company rules. As I understand it, you need to deploy a mirror on the server and how to do it I don't understand. Administrators Marcos 5,234 Posted August 25, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2021 If clients don't have Internet connection and there is no option to set up an http proxy server either, you can put the installer into a share and use the path in a software install task as per https://help.eset.com/protect_admin/81/en-US/client_tasks_software_install.html It is not necessary to mirror the whole repository and download also unnecessary installers. However, if possible always use ESET's http proxy in environment where machines have no direct Internet access but are connected in LAN.
