Guest Abacus
Hi, I have moved our high transactional database (SQL Server 2008 r2) to a new more powerful Windows server 2019 and at the same time installed Eset Endpoint Security, Eset Server Security (Eset File Security) and Eset Dynamic Threat defense for Endpoint Security by using ESET Protect. I got help from support to exclude the database files, but I suspect ESET is slowing down everything. The server is totally choked and the system is rarely possible to use at all. Is it possible to set a profile where I check as little as possible of the traffic in the server, but have firewall detections active? I appreciate any advice. This is a disaster for us right now. With best regards Abacus Link to comment
Administrators Marcos 5,252 Posted August 14, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 14, 2021 First of all, you have posted in the Quick questions subforum but instead of a question you have reported an issue which is not what this subforum is intended for: 4, Ask only simple questions. If you want to report an issue, inquire about your license, etc., create a forum account first. This forum is not intended for lengthy discussions. Please sign up for this forum and re-post in the appropriate product subforum. Also provide information if automatic exclusions are set up and if pausing real-time protection makes a difference. We'll need you to: - enable advanced operating system logging in the advanced setup -> tools -> diagnostics when the issue is manifesting - after a few minutes (max. 5) disable logging - collect logs with ESET Log Collector and upload the generated archive to a safe location - provide me with a download link in a private message. Last but not least I'd like to point out that this forum is not a substitute to opening a support ticket with your local ESET distributor which is always the primary channel for reporting and troubleshoot issues.
