skello 0
Have one device that has chrome blocked entirely. Disable firewall works fine. There were no rules, nothing added special to this device. I reset device back to default and still wouldn't allow chrome access. Just uninstalled ESET 8.1.2031.0 from the device, tried to access chrome and no issues. Going to reinstall 8.1.2031.0 and test from same device. Users do not have access to add in rules so this wouldn't have been added by the user. Any insight from others? Also, this is being typed in Chrome from a device in the same group, same policy setup and everything as the device that was being blocked. skello 0
Works just fine after reinstall. Not sure what broke, what caused this to get blocked but other browsers worked fine. Anyone else having this issue as well?
Administrators Marcos 5,070 Posted August 13, 2021 Administrators Share Posted August 13, 2021 Should the issue recur especially without any custom firewall rules, please carry on as follows: - enable advanced logging under Help and support -> Technical support - reboot the machine - reproduce the issue (a video could be helpful) - disable logging - collect logs with ESET Log Collector. Administrators Solution Marcos 5,070 Posted August 23, 2021 Administrators Solution Share Posted August 23, 2021 We have eventually pinpointed the issue to an incorrect loss of trust due to changes in the issuer of the Chrome certificate. The issue will be address in the firewall module 1424.4 soon. skello
