Definition of "Device"

Good Day,

I am considering purchasing one of your home products soon and need a definition of the term "Device".

My reason, is that some of my computers dual boot to Windows and Linux.

So, does the term "Device" refer to the hardware or the Operating System.

In case of a multi-boot system you must have a license for 1 device regardless of how many OS's you have there. However, this won't be possible with the combination of Windows and Linux since the new product for Linux will require a separate license.
