GDI 4
Hello everyone. I'm still learning the ropes of ESET protect at the moment but, I have a question. When doing updates of ESET security products from the Protect console, "Reboot if needed" is checked by default. Is there a way to have that unchecked by default? Worried that I may speed through it at some point and accidentally reboot workstation unintentionally.
Administrators Marcos 5,271 Posted June 28, 2021 Administrators Share Posted June 28, 2021 There is no way to have it unchecked by default. It's so for a reason - if you upgrade from a too old version or to a version with significant changes in communication under the hood, you could end up with machines losing protection or very old drivers could cause system issues, such as BSOD or freezing. Normally this should not happen, it could be especially an issue when upgrading from legacy versions 4 or 5.
