itman 1,742
I believe the OP is referring to one of the Win 11 compatibility checker freebees that are "popping up everywhere in the Internet woodwork" such as this one: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/windows_pc_health_check.html . There is no legit reason to take a risk downloading one of these software's since Microsoft already provides a free Win 11 compatibility tool to do so that is described in this article: https://www.ghacks.net/2021/06/24/find-out-if-your-pc-is-compatible-with-windows-11/ . -EDIT- Note that the Microsoft Win 11 Compatibility Tool will not indicate why your device is not compatible. You will have to refer to Microsoft minimum hardware specifications for Win 11. The "big one" is the device/motherboard must have at the minimum, a TPM ver. 2.0 module installed and activated in the UEFI - BIOS. Per the Ghacks linked article: Quote A click on the "learn more" link opens a new page that reveals the Windows 11 system requirements. Processor 1 gigahertz (GHz)?or?faster with 2 or more cores on a?compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC) Memory 4 GB RAM Storage 64 GB or larger storage device System firmware UEFI, Secure Boot capable TPM Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0 Graphics card DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x Display > 9" with HD Resolution (720p) Internet connection Microsoft account and internet connectivity required for setup for Windows 11 Home Edited June 27, 2021 by itman Link to comment

Yeah if you download the one from Microsoft's own site then it'd fine. Avoid other sites that could trick you e.g. fake version. Always recommended to download from official sites. I've also read that some required specs for Windows 11 are changing so it's a confusing time at the moment and things may keep changing Link to comment
