ESET end point forcing password to keep old settings after Protect Server update

Recommended Posts

After updating the ESET Protect server, the ESET end point security is prompting users a choice to keep old rules. I can't even fathom why anyone would want the end user to be able to make a choice on a business product but here we are. Now, I have to go to several hundred machines and input the password manually. Is there a way to automate this in ESET protect, and why on earth would this ever happen? Of course I want to keep the old firewall rules.
