mirror tool no longer working

Hello,

We found that the mirror tool is no longer working for all our customers.

On all installations we now get the following error message:

Error: Unkwon value(unknown case in swith) in HwPlatform type in metadata3 parser
Error occured.

I guess something changed on the ESET side which broke the tool.

Any suggestions what to do?

Addition:

Syncing updates still works, it is the repo sync which now fails.

Looking at the error message it seems that the parser found an invalid hardware platform specified in one of the metadata3 files. I think the "unknown case in swith" is a typo in the error message an should read switch instead. Seems that the switch clause in the code is missing the needed case statement for that hardware platform.

Did ESET introduce a new HwPlatform and did not update the mirror tool or is there a malformed metadata3 file located in their repository?

Could you possibly report this issue just that is it not forgotten? Actually there has been changes you mentioned (support for ARM64 platform has been added) and therefore either new mirror tool or changes in ESET infrastructure will be required to resolve this problem.

We decided to fix and release the Mirror tool, the team responsible is working on it and we would like to have it available as soon as possible...

In most case it is better to download the install package (.msi) and share it on a webserver. SoftwareInstall  task can be created with direct link like: http:\\innnerserver.domain\manualinstall\ees\ees.msi

It is not worth to download gigas of data.

What really would be helpful for the mirror tools would be better filter possibilities like regexp on name, OS and language. This would reduce data to download significantly.

We have released new Mirror tool, so you can use that. Thanks for good input. We know this tool is not really usable and our team deside to make it better. We have plan add more filtering options and optimizing storing mechanism, so tool woudt be more usable that is now.

@MaxN mirror tool synchronization take really long time, whole repository is really big and with slow network if can take many hours. New mirror tool was tested with actual repository and was working correctly. If you have any problem with synchronization please contact ESET support and provide information as command line for reproduction.
