Twersky 2
Hi Eset devs! QUIC has already received the status of a proposed standard by IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) - https://www.rfc-editor.org/pipermail/rfc-dist/2021-May/005843.html I believe that gradually some sites (and possibly malware) will begin to switch to this protocol. On this background, it is interesting to know if Eset web protection supports QUIC decryption, how does it work for HTTPS?

Solution itman 1,630 Posted June 22, 2021 Solution Share Posted June 22, 2021 As it stands presently, QUIC is a security risk; especially in Chrome since Google is using it on their web sites. It can be blocked by creating an Eset equivalent firewall rule as shown in this BitDefender article: https://www.bitdefender.com/support/how-to-disable-quic-protocol-in-google-chrome-1669.html . I go one step further and block all inbound UDP traffic from remote ports 80 and 443.

Oh, thanks a lot! Nice solution, but I hope it's temporary. Some antiviruses already have QUIC support. Still, this protocol is sometimes useful for the speed of the Internet.
