Upgrade of ESET protect from 8.0.1238 to 8.0.19

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is there any possibility to upgrade the ESET protect from the version 8.0.1238 to 8.0.19 on the fly?

In case the upgradation went fine means, does the client machines needs to be discovered again?

Thanks in advance.

You can send an ESET PROTECT component upgrade task to the server to update the ESET PROTECT server from v8.0.1238 to the latest version 8.0.1258.

Thanks Marcos.

Does the upgradation will affect the existing client connection?

Hello, server is restarted during the upgrade process, however as soon as the upgrade is finished, all machines should start connecting again.

And how much time will it take to upgrade?

Upgrade typically takes a couple of minutes. However, prior to upgrade we recommend backing up the db and exporting both the peer and CA certificates.
