Notification, Variable

Good morning,

 

I have a problem with email notification on Eset Remote Administrator Consol (5.1.38.0).

 

When I test a rule, instead of getting a list of clients and a server name, I receive %variable% not populated with values. Here's an example :

 

subject : %PRIMARY_SERVER_NAME%:%RULE_NAME%

body: Primary clients with protection status warning

Server:%PRIMARY_SERVER_NAME%

Client list:%CLIENT_LIST%

 

The same thing happens when I log the results into a file "log.txt.

 

I read the documentation but i did not find anything about this.

 

Can you help me ?

Hello,

 

Any time a rule is tested, it only shows the variables because there is no client invoking the log entry which would generate the rest of the information which would replace the variables.  When the rule is actually invoked by a a client, the variables will be replaced with the relevant information.
