Constant product updates

I have had Eset for years.  However, it has recently changed.  I am used to a start-up scan or module update when I turn on my computer.  That would happen 2-3 times a day.  It slowed things down until it was done.  But I knew it was necessary.  Now, it does a product update every time I turn my computer on.  This could be 10 or more times a day.  More disconcerting is that the product update process never stops while the computer is on and it slows down everything.  Why is this happening?  How can I stop it?

Unfortunately this is not a quick question but rather an issue that requires investigation. To start off, sign up for the forum, re-post in the appropriatr product forum and provide logs collected with ESET Log Collector. Also raise a support ticket with your local ESET distributor.
