Administrators Marcos 5,274 Posted May 5, 2021 Administrators Share Posted May 5, 2021 No, email protection also use detections from streamed (pico) updates, leverage LiveGrid as well as ESET Dynamic Threat Defense (business versions with EDTD license) to detect malware. I'd also emphasize that the term "signature" implies a kind of primitive detection, e.g. based on the hash of a file. However, we rather use the term "detection" which is a pattern that describes the structure or behavior of malware rather than something specific. Debatable if it is scanned by Eset. Refering to this: Quote Make Google Workspace your default account (over any POP or IMAP account) You can add other mail accounts to your Google Workspace profile, say, for personal or family-related mail, just as you can with Microsoft Exchange. Mail sent to a POP3 account appears in your main inbox along with your Google Workspace mail, while mail sent to an IMAP account goes into a separate inbox for that account. Make sure your Google Workspace account is the default account in your profile (otherwise calendar invitations sent to your Google Workspace account might not appear on your Google Calendar). Note that both your POP and IMAP mail is not synchronized with your Google Workspace account in the cloud. Nor will calendar invitations sent to your POP or IMAP account appear on your calendar. https://support.google.com/a/users/answer/156540?hl=en&ref_topic=29321 It appears that Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft® Outlook by default is not using POP3 or IMAP protocols. Eset E-mail protection only scans these two protocols. However if POP3S or IMAPS e-mail accounts are added to Google Workspace Sync for Microsoft® Outlook as given above, Eset E-mail protection would scan that e-mail traffic.
