Does Eset Agent be one day updated quickly ?

Hi im an it guy who work for an IT company, we have an eset server and deploy eset agent by GPO.

When i have to update eset agent on a remote host (who is not connect with DC at startup) i take about 2hours or 3 hour and the update process is different from host to another host.

 

My question is " Does one day you gonna do a simple way to update agent?" Like you know every software in this world.

 

I am fed up to lose so many time to update your software -_-

In order to upgrade Agent on machines, just send an ESET PROTECT components update task to them.

Thanks to reply to my aggressiv post.

 

From eset webconsole i have no task to update agent, i can update modules but not agent.

When i run the update modules task my agent is not be updated.

 

I loss many times to do it manualy.

It's quite easy, just create an ESET PROTECT components upgrade task and send it to clients:

This is what i get in the menu :

You can select All tasks category or "ESET Security Management Center" to display only related tasks. Afterwards select "ESET PROTECT components upgrade task" in the Task field.

Here what i've got, i don't have the "ESET PROTECT COMPONENTS upgrade task" option.

Ok, you haven't upgraded to ESET PROTECT yet. In ESMC the task has a slightly different name:

I don't know what i have to chose, if i chose ESET protect it gonna be upgrade my Eset server ?

All right, i update ESET EMCS to ESET PROTECT , so the task you describe previously update ESET Agent and Eset Antivirus for the selected target?

You can (not necessarily) update ESMC to ESET PROTECT as follows:

A, Server upgrade by:
1, Sending an ESMC component upgrades task (https://help.eset.com/esmc_admin/72/en-US/update_product.html) to the server.
2, Running the All-in-One ESET PROTECT installer to upgrade all components, including 3rd party ones (https://help.eset.com/protect_install/80/en-US/upgrade_allinone.html)

Whichever way you choose, prior to upgrade we recommend backing up:
- the CA certificate
- the server and agent peer certificates
- the ESMC/ESET PROTECT database.

B, Agent upgrade by
Sending an ESMC/ESET PROTECT components upgrade task to clients.

C, Upgrading the ESET Security product on clients by
Sending a software install task with the latest version of Endpoint selected as product.

So i have update my ESET Server from ESMC to ESET Protect, and update Agent is done by now launching the custom Task.
