SamHaa 0
Hey Guys We're quite new to ESET and just upgraded several server ESET File Security applications. All are now flagged as "Reboot required". As our monthly reboot has just happend and is not planned for another two weeks, I would like to know if protection still works or if the servers need to be restarted immediately? If protection still works, can we turn off reboot-notifications? It would really help not to always have Clients and Servers popping up as at risk if it's just about getting the newest version. Thanks Sam
Administrators Marcos 5,286 Posted April 1, 2021 Administrators Share Posted April 1, 2021 If the notification is red then the protection most likely doesn't work. You can test it with the eicar test file. Normally a reboot is only recommended, however, upgrade to EFSW 7.3 requires a reboot due to substantial changes in the internal communication system as a result of upcoming changes in Windows OS. SamHaa 0
Well, it's red but Eicar is deleted immediatly by ESET.

Is it detected also by real-time protection or only web access protection detects it upon download?
SamHaa 0
Sorry for the late answer. It was detected by the realtime protection.
