Proactive Services 11
I had an unusual spam today from someone offering "opt-in verified contact information" from a list of anti-virus vendors including Eset. I know that Eset keeps its users' details safe and would not sell them, but if someone at Eset would be interested in examining this spam to see if there's any truth to it, please let me know. Arakasi 549
Hello, As usual wait for ESET Staff to reply. If possible however, if there is truth to this, the severity is high. Please, please call the company directly by phone so they can take samples and start a ticket and investigation! Thanks Proactive Services !! :)

Former ESET Employees dwomack 160 Posted July 7, 2014 Former ESET Employees Share Posted July 7, 2014 Your suspicions are correct in that we never would sell or offer any user information to another company. Can you give us a bit more information on this piece of spam? Obviously, while they can be helpful, be careful in not posting any links or direct URLs to keep other Forum users safe. Once we have more information, we can look into it.
Proactive Services 11
dwomack: PM sent I did do some searching before posting this and didn't find anything, but after a second try it does seem like the spam has been around for a year or so.
