Is there a Web Advisor with green... check marks next to safe sites? If not which add-on do you recommend? 2. During installation, do I Manually run a scan/when, or does it ask for a reboot first, then when? 3. I have a Password Manager I like- How do I Disable NOD's?when? Administrators Marcos 5,272 Posted February 25, 2021 Administrators Share Posted February 25, 2021 As for point 1, ESET doesn't use a website reputation system like WoT. However, we use a strong and highly effective url blocking as part of Web access protection which blocks access to malicious, phishing, scam and PUA websites. According to this article: https://www.idropnews.com/how-to/how-to-install-and-uninstall-wot-for-safari-on-mac/56503/ , it is. Well, I guess it is no longer supported: Quote Unfortunately, on 1st September 2019 Apple removed its Safari Extension Gallery, meaning that it no longer supports extensions. Therefore, when updating to Safari 13 for Mac, WOT will no longer be compatible with your device. We’re currently working on a new version of WOT for Mac so that Safari users can stay safe online. We’re sorry for any inconvenience caused and we’ll keep you posted on updates in the future. https://support.mywot.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035501393-Safari-Extension-Update Edited February 25, 2021 by itman

I am currently only testing Eset and will probably switch from Bitdefender as I don't like the Mac version. For family members, especially elderly ones, the reputation based info of TrafficLight is very helpful so I look a little bit for standalone alternatives because Eset doesn't provide sth., but don't like browser plugins from Norton, MacAfee etc. It is in question at all if I wan't to install a plugin giving another attack vector... but hard to communicate such if people are used to... Anyway, don't want to steal the threads topic, which is likely not Safari related

I'd recommend also looking Into upgrading to Internet security which adds things such as network protection, firewall etc. There's also smart security premium if you want a tool for encrypting files and a password manager.
