B_big 0
Hello, I recently bought myself a new smartphone, after my Google Pixel 2XL run out of system and security updates. Since that time I can't unlock the apps, which I added to the <Option> <App-lock> with my fingerprint no more. The window doesn't react anymore, and I have to minimize or close it to get access to the <Unlock with PIN> option. That is annoying and not really comfortable. I guess it must be the new device, because with the older everything worked proper. The new Google Pixel 4a (5G) runs on Andriod 11 with all current updates. Meanwhile, I have deactivated this option, but for me this isn't a really secure solution. Any help is appreciated.

JER3014232 0
This happened to me immediately after the Android Jan 5 security update I installed today. Prior to installing that update it was working perfectly, and fingerprint authentication is working for everything else and within the eset app - for example when I go into the app lock settings within the eset app, it asked for my fingerprint and successfully read it, but it fails for all apps locked with app lock. B_big 0
It's good to hear, that I'm not alone with this issue. Here's what ESET responded to my support inquiry:"it is a bug. Our developers are already working on fixing it in a future update. We apologize for the inconvenience." They registered this issue with #CASE_00143333 Just to keep you informed
B_big 0
Just to keep informed to whom it may concern. Today I received this message from ESET support: this is an automatic message from our system. Unfortunately, we do not know the date of the next update yet. You can get the latest Eset version via the Google Play Store, when this is available for our customers you will get the announcement in the Play Store. Please let me know if I can close your request. So what can we do, except to wait for coming updates.
Administrators Marcos 3,596 Posted January 21 Administrators Share Posted January 21 Unfortunately I don't think there's a workaround for the issue but disabling App Lock. However, I assume it won't take too long until a new version of EMS is released.
