Do you have libappindicator1 installed?

Also note that ESET NOD32 Antivirus for Linux desktop v4 has already reached EOL and is not supported. As a temporary replacement we provide ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux v7.

Hi Marcos,

yes it is :

  • dpkg -l libappindicator1

ii  libappindicator1 12.10.1+20.04.20200408.1-0ubuntu1 amd64        Application Indicators

Where can I find ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux v7 ?

I found Linux ESET here :

eset.com > Download > already client > protection endpoint > ESET Endpoint Antivirus for Linux > Download > File name eeau.x86_64.bin | File size : 560 MB | Version: 7.1.8.0

=> eeau.x86_64.bin gave : eea-7.1.8.0-ubuntu18.x86_64.deb

  • dpkg -l eea

ii  eea            7.1.8.0      amd64        ESET Endpoint Antivirus

Thank you for your help.

Nils

Hello,

I face the same problem in a similar environment (after installation of ESET I updated to 5.4.0-59-generic #65-Ubuntu SMP Thu Dec 10 12:01:51 UTC 2020 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux).

Is there any solution?

Mario

  • 5 weeks later...

I also have Ubuntu 20 and ESET Installer version 8. Two of us have successfully installed the product with our business license, and do not see a UI as before with the earlier version, which was cleanly uninstalled.

Is there a UI? What do I need to do to enable it?

You have posted in the NOD32 AV for Linux desktop forum which a a product for consumers. If you have Endpoint v7, it has no gui and the appropriate forum for this product is https://forum.eset.com/forum/34-eset-endpoint-products/.
