webspidey 0
Hi, I have ESET NOD32 Antivirus 4.2.71.2 (Business Edition) on a Windows Server 2003 R2 (32 bits) with SP2. The problem arises randomly, the message "error communicating with kernel" appears, then close NOD32 application. This result as an impossibility for the users to connect to the WAN (via all browsers and even applications who need to connect for update purposes). No problem with the LAN ressources, they're still available. ESET service is started. After a test, no Zero.Access rootkit is present. When i restart the server, all is ok, NOD32 becomes functional again, WAN is accessible ... and a few hours or days later, the problem comes back. If you have a solution, please help me ! Administrators Marcos 5,231 Posted June 25, 2014 Administrators Share Posted June 25, 2014 Please remove v4.2 and install ESET File Security instead. The current version is 4.5.12015.0 which addresses known issues from v4.2 as well.

Arakasi 549
Thanks for the fast answer ! If i remove 4.2, does my license key will work with File Security ? You will need to obtain a File Security license. Most likely, but your business edition AV credentials should allow you to at least download and install File Security. I would try it and see if your problem is fixed first.
