michigain87 0
I have a friend who is some sort of network tech, recommended ESET antivirus. I don't know anywhere near as much as him about computers in general, so I took his recommendation. It seems to work fine, but I'm not sure I'd know what it looks like if it weren't working. Can anyone tell me if this is a good choice? I have ESET NOD 32 version 7.bunch of numbers, paid subscription for it. Am I covered for spyware/adaware/malware, whatever other -wares exist? Thanks! Administrators Marcos 5,243 Posted November 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted November 30, 2020 ESET detects all kind of threats, including scam, phishing, adware but also potentially unsafe and unwanted applications if you opt for detection. If you are a home user, I'd recommend purchasing ESET Internet Security or ESET Smart Security Premium (contains also password manager and disk encryption). NOD32 Antivirus would not protect you from RDP brute-froce attacks which is a common infection vector of attackers to gain access to victim's computer and run malware, steal data, etc.
