Administrators Solution Marcos 5,257 Posted November 19, 2020 Administrators Solution Share Posted November 19, 2020 Most likely the same issue as reported here: https://forum.eset.com/topic/26374-esets_daemon-freeze-2020-version/ There is a workaround provided and a fixed update is already being prepared. aipide 0
The same here, also: user@x:~# /opt/eset/esets/sbin/esets_update --verbose Speicherzugriffsfehler (seg fault) since today 14:00 CET 😕
pikatenor 0
I had the same issue. 6 hours ago, ESET Security Forum said: Please see our knowledgebase article for the latest information related to this issue:https://support.eset.com/en/alert7704-detection-engine-22346-showing-false-positive this workaround mentioned to run esets_update after deleting files, but /opt/eset/esets/sbin/esets_update does not exist on my ESET Desktop installation. I had to reinstall ESET Desktop following this instruction of ESET JP (Canon). https://eset-support.canon-its.jp/faq/show/18010?site_domain=business
fru 0
The link workaround posted by @Marcos solved this issue. Complete uninstall of NOD32, delete the mentioned file in /tmp, and then install of NOD32
