ESET Moderators Peter Randziak 580 Posted November 19, 2020 ESET Moderators Share Posted November 19, 2020 Hello @notuo, I would start with: Disable the SSL/TLS filtering in the ESET GUI Reboot the system Change update type to pre-release Wait until the update finishes and make sure you have Internet protection module 1414 Enable the SSL/TLS filtering in the ESET GUI Check if you are able to fetch the e-mails in Thunderbird. If not 1. is the certificate used to secure the connectivity to the e-mail server trusted by the system on which you run the Thunderbird? If not import it to be trusted and try to fetch the e-mail again. If even that won't help provide us with a fresh set of logs recorded with the Internet protection module 1414 Peter

If you are not running any mission critical applications on the machine, I'd recommend keeping pre-release updates enabled. However, if you don't want to receive program and module updates among first, switch to regular updates after 1-2 weeks.

Thundbird asks me for dialog "Adding of security exception". It it neccessary to downgrade IPM to 1414 ? If yes, then how to do it ? Thanks. Regards Jan

What version of Thunderbird do you have? Could you confirm it's not a portable version? Following the instructions at https://support.eset.com/en/kb7728 didn't resolve the issue? Make sure that after disabling SSL filtering there is no ESET root certificate in the Thundebird's authorities certificate store. After re-enabling SSL filtering, an ESET root certificate will be added: Quote It it neccessary to downgrade IPM to 1414 ? If yes, then how to do it ? Not necessary, the latest module is ok.
