Administrators Marcos 4,693 Posted September 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2020 The red warning "Your device is outdated" should be reported when modules have not been updated for more than a week. The threshold can be customized via a policy. Please check the version of the engine module and make sure it's latest. Modules should update fully automatically. Also check if a correct system date is set on the client. Do you also get a yellow notification about the necessity to upgrade Endpoint to the latest version? Administrators Marcos 4,693 Posted September 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 30, 2020 The warning "Your device is outdated" is critical and must be addressed immediately. It means that the engine has not updated for several days and therefore the AV cannot protect the machine against recent threats. As for the following notification, it cannot be suppressed. It is important that all users upgrade to the latest version as soon as possible since there are several issues that older versions can be affected by. See https://support-eol.eset.com/en/. Also at https://support-eol.eset.com/en/affected.html there is a form which will show you issues that your version of Endpoint is affected by. What version of Endpoint and ERA/ESMC agent do you have installed on machines?
baran 0
esmc 7.2 endpoint 7.2 agent 7.1 5000 client are in my console ,it takes along time to correct them ! is no other day?
Administrators Marcos 4,693 Posted September 30, 2020 Administrators Share Posted September 30, 2020 Updating the engine on a regular basis should be done automatically every 60 min. Is the engine actually updated on clients that report "Your device is outdated"? As for the notification about upgrade to the latest Endpoint (currently v7.3), there are still a few months left for upgrade. Therefore we currently display only a yellow notification but the product itself works 100% and protects the machines until one of the events that concern your ESET product and that are mentioned at https://support-eol.eset.com/en/affected.html occurs.
