Firefox 81.0 & ESET NOD 32 antivirus

Recommended Posts

I observe a lot of crashes due to NOD 32 in Firefox when I watch streaming videos or during speedtests.
Firefox crash reports still point to NOD 32 as the source of the problems. Indeed, if I deactivate the antivirus, all is well.
Windows 10 2004 32-bi

Best regards

The area of emphasis might be the use of Win 10 2004 x(86). Microsoft stopped issuing 32 bit versions to OEMs on new build installations: https://www.zdnet.com/article/microsoft-takes-a-step-toward-phasing-out-32-bit-pc-support-for-windows-10/

I am currently using EIS 13.2.18 and FF81 on a Win 10 2004 x(64) build with zip issues.

Temporarily disable SSL/TLS protocol scanning in NOD32 and see if this stops the issues you are having.
