STERX 0 Posted September 25, 2020 Posted September 25, 2020 I was looking into phone data retrieve apps and I found out about this Dr. Fone everyone was talking about. I accidentally downloaded it but didn't install it (the download page started an immediate automatic download) and saw around that many people believe it to be a trojan/malware. ESET didn't alert me or whatnot, but is there any way to make sure this isn't the case?

There are multiple web crack postings for it. If you want to check the download for malware, upload it to VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/ , and see if any other AV solutions used there detect anything malicious about it.
