denis44 0
I have the same issue. I also had it with previous version of ubuntu. It is a problem with Berkley Packet Filter handling. if you launch chromium with --disable-seccomp-filter-sandbox it works but this absolutely not a good solution because It is not acceptable to lower the security of your webbrowser to have an antivirus working. It has also the same issue with SRWare Iron (which is a cleaner version of chromium with even less user trackers). Of course if you remove ESET 4.0.81 all work again... mikeputnam_ssm 0
Bump. I am having this exact issue. ESET NOD32 4.0.81.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 renders chromium completely unusable.
Former ESET Employees dwomack 159 Posted September 22, 2014 Former ESET Employees Share Posted September 22, 2014 It appears Ubuntu 14.04 was released about 6 months after the latest version of ESET NOD32 for Linux, so it is unlikely that this issue was tested against that system during development. I have let our product managers know that this issue returns with Ubuntu 14.04, so they can include this in the next build of NOD32 for Linux. Thanks. Most Valued Members planet 232 Posted October 4, 2015 Most Valued Members Share Posted October 4, 2015 (edited) I believe its the latest version on NOD32 site. Can you tell me when was this version released? Version 4.0.81.0 was announced on this forum (still pinned on the top of the linux section) back in 12 October 2013, almost two years ago. beancounter 6
I get the impression that ESET does not regard NOD32 for Linux as a product worthy of priority support

ESET Moderators TomasP 311 Posted February 23, 2016 ESET Moderators Share Posted February 23, 2016 Hello everyone, Sadly, there is no news on the updated version that would fix the issue yet. As for those of you having troubles installing or running the product on some newer distributions, please have a look at this KB article: hxxp://support.eset.com/kb3723/ Regards, T.
