Can’t Uninstall ESET Endpoint Anti-Virus

When we try uninstall ESET endpoint AV I get an error saying it can’t and is missing Windows updates. I also get an error saying I don’t have rights even as administrator.

 

is there a manual uninstall procedure or uninstall tool?

Note: This must be run in Win Safe boot mode.

ESET uninstall tool works a treat in safe mode but isn't great if you have several workstations are more to go around.

ESET did have a version capable of running "not in safe mode", not sure if that's still available with more recent versions of the uninstall tool

Regarding the admin rights prompt you can almost disregard this, provided you are running as ad admin, often it throws the warning but just lets you right on through when you click to proceed to the next screen.

Eset has an AV removal tool here: https://support.eset.com/en/kb146-uninstallers-removal-tools-for-common-windows-antivirus-software . Appears it will also uninstall existing Eset installation via use of Win Control Panel uninstaller,
