cschulzejn 0 Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 Our RMM sometimes shows an error regarding the AV signature, because the user did connect to the internet some time after he did start the laptop (e.g. connects to hotel or airport wifi). The scheduler offers the event "Dial-up connection on the Internet/VPN" - should this also trigger if WAN gets reachable or a WiFi connection is establishedat? Source: https://help.eset.com/ees/7/en-US/idh_scheduler_event.html Currently the workaround would be to trigger updates every 1 minutes or so, to not miss these events. But that's not a solution, that's a workaround.

That won't work as the 10 minutes interval is the shortest possible for the update, in practice 11 minutes 😉 Peter

[...] Peter Other vendors (e.g. Goole, Apple, Microsoft) implemented a custom way to check, if internet is available. Google tries to reach connectivitycheck.gstatic.com. Microsoft tries to resolve www.msftncsi.com (must resolve to 131.107.255.255) and tries to download hxxp://ipv6.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt If a proxy is configured, ESET should try to reach the proxy. Pls consider this as a feature request
