I have been an ESET user for many many years now, I used to go tvmuse.com before it got hacked and then became tvmuse.cc.

Before I upgraded to Winblows 10 I never had an issue in using tvmuse.cc now I am getting BLOCKED (See attached screen dump

The old tvmuse.com I used for years without incident. The site I also used without incident,

All I am going to say is WTF ESET???????????

Might be a redirect on that web site to another with a malicious ad.

Don't believe the ad is on the tvmuse.cc since uBlock Origin that I am using should have deleted the ad prior to web page rendering.

Also scumware.org is showing malicious JavaScript which might be the reason for the Eset detection. And it is a redirect:

I use uBlock Origin also, I just turned mine off an tried tvmuse.cc again.  It blocked a Domain, but uBlock Origin didn't say what domain it had blocked

If you disabled uBlock Origin, it didn't block anything. Whatever was blocked, originated from Eset.

Note that if uBlock detected this, it would just cause the malicious ad, etc. not to show/run on the tvmuse.cc web page. Hence, there would be no detection from Eset. The URL being blocked is shown after "redirect=" in the scumware.org screen shot.

Note that when something like this occurs, Eset just stops the source web page from rendering. It has no way of "cleaning" the malicious source web page code; i.e. redirect to malicious web site.

Inform the tvmuse.cc website admin of this situation. They are the only one that can correct it.

There are malicious redirects to porn sites, phishing and ads so you should be actually happy that ESET has protected you.

I'm not complaining about ESET, I find it to be one of the best AVS's out there and I have been using it for a number of years now.

I was asking why of all the years of using ESET and tvmuse together, all of a sudden ESET is blocking me from going to that website starting from my original post in this forum

Sometimes websites change the ads they host or change the scripts or when things go worse , somebody just hijacks the website and add a malicious JS to it without the Admins noticing and just leave the website running normal with his malicious JS

In this case ESET has done it's part very well by blocking the redirect attempt to other websites which are considered malicious by ESET.

Yeah a lot of these sites use ad services that might be dodgy, but if they bring in some revenue they'll probably keep using them
