varunnaresh 0
I think this ransomware comes under djvu family and should get marked as filecoder "stop" on eset. But just wondering if eset protects against this ? Thanks, Varun
Administrators Marcos 4,706 Posted June 4, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 4, 2020 ESET should protect you against all known ransomware variants and also against the majority of new, not yet created variants. However, I'd like to emphasize the importance of keeping RDP secured, having all critical OS updates installed and practicing safe computing, otherwise even the best AV could get disabled by attackers. varunnaresh
itman 1,538
I will also add that no security solution will give you a 100% guaranty against all ransomware attacks. Therefore, it is imperative that at least directories frequently targeted by ransomware; e.g. C:\Users\xxxxx\Documents, Pictures, etc., are regularly backed up to off-line media.
