ESET not present but when I try to install, a latest version of eset smart security is already installed on this computer

I have a windows 10 OS, trying to install ESET NOD32 but I get the message:

"a latest version of ESET NOD32 is already installed on this computer"

Even when I try to install the ESET security I get the same error:

"a latest version of eset smart security is already installed on this computer"

 

Any ideas?

Try manually uninstalling ESET using the uninstall tool as per https://support.eset.com/en/kb2289-uninstall-eset-manually-using-the-eset-uninstaller-tool and then install the latest version 13.1 from scratch.

It could be similar to the issue someone posted few days ago. In that case follow my advice on the comment section.
