TomB 0
Esets cyber security for mac is causing the computer CPUs to go crazy and it stops me accessing websites - I can't quit the process hogging the CPUs - esets_ctl. The only way to fix it is to restart the computer - I need to do this every two days or so. I have emailed customer support twice and have not heard anything back. If I don't get a response to this, I will simple uninstall esets and recommend to everyone I know who uses it (200 people) to uninstall it and switch to a different product. Pathetic. Administrators Marcos 5,241 Posted April 16, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 16, 2020 There is a new version of ECS almost ready for release which we could provide for testing, if you are interested. As for your support ticket, you should have received a confirmation email with the ticket number after opening a support ticket. Please provide the ticket ID so that we can inquire the Spanish distributor about its status.
TomB 0
Thank you for your reply. I did not receive a confirmation email with a ticket number for either support request on either occasion, for which I used different email addresses both times. Yes I would like the new version of ECS for testing if possible.
ESET Moderators Aryeh Goretsky 386 Posted April 18, 2020 ESET Moderators Share Posted April 18, 2020 Hello, For future reference, it would probably be best to open a ticket using the form at https://www.eset.com/int/support/contact/ on our website. This ensures that a ticket gets created and tracked, and that support agents are able to assist you in order to resolve any issues. Regards, Aryeh Goretsky
Administrators Marcos 5,241 Posted April 18, 2020 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2020 Please try the latest internal version downloadable from https://forum.eset.com/files/file/23-eset_cybersecurity_en_10dmg/ and let us know if it resolves the issue.
