I have been trying to enable ESET's Web Control feature to block URLs using "Category based" filtering but it seems it only works on Microsoft Edge. When testing on Chrome or Firefox, the URLs are accessible. Is there any step required to get it to work for all browsers?

I'm using ESET Endpoint Security Ver 7.1

That's correct, SSL filtering must be enabled and work in order for Web Control to work effectively.

Web Control works with any browser, it's not dependent on it whatsoever.

Then it could be a problem receiving DNS TXT responses. Carry on as follows:
- in the advanced setup -> Tools -> Diagnostics enable advanced network protection and advanced Web Control logging
- reproduce the issue
- disable logging
- collect logs with ESET Log Collector and provide the generated archive for perusal.

Thanks Marcos. I just discovered that there was a policy on the ESMC that was excluding those three browsers from protocol filtering. Removing the policy fixed the issue.

Thank you for your help.
