Real-time file system protection is non-functional

Recommended Posts

I have ESET Security Management Center version 7.1 managing a small number of machines running Red Hat Workstation 8.1 with EEA eea-7.0.13.0-1.x86_64.

In ESMC, I see the message "Real-time file system protection is non-functional" on 2 out of 4 machines.

(perhaps related, perhaps not):

When I run "systemctl status eea" I see an hourly message saying " ESET Endpoint Antivirus Error: Unauthorized access."

I'm looking for assistance diagnosing these issues.

Thanks!

The issues are not related. As for the error "unauthorized access", there's an open ticket from another user with this error and developers are waiting for replication with user's license in house.

As for the error concerning real-time protection, it could be caused by a missing engine or another module essential for the antivirus to work. Please raise a support ticket with your local ESET customer care.
