Most Valued Members Nightowl 98 Posted March 17, 2020 Most Valued Members Share Posted March 17, 2020 Just some photos I found on the internet that can bring some good moments and make your white hair shine brighter. Hmmm , I used to love that GUI ! , so simple and basic but powerful. Aryeh Goretsky, peteyt and fabioquadros_

Most Valued Members Nightowl 98 Posted March 17, 2020 Author Most Valued Members Share Posted March 17, 2020 (edited) Oh this is very old! , I never had my hands on it , it would be awesome to have our hands on the installers again to make some fun with XP virtual machines , but I guess that is not possible But I miss those days , golden time. When you had to remove Norton because it's eating most of the 512MB of RAM and switching to ESET for it being light on the PC v2 Control Panel I found it : Edited March 17, 2020 by Nightowl Aryeh Goretsky and fabioquadros_

Administrators Marcos 3,578 Posted March 18, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 18, 2020 AMON is the former name of the real-time protection module. We still call it internally that way and also real-time protection driver in the latest v13 is called eamonm.sys. fabioquadros_, Aryeh Goretsky and Nightowl

ESET Insiders stackz 53 Posted March 19, 2020 ESET Insiders Share Posted March 19, 2020 I first used Nod32 back in about 2003. I remember clearly AMON, DMON and perhaps YEAHMON.

Most Valued Members Nightowl 98 Posted April 9, 2020 Author Most Valued Members Share Posted April 9, 2020 I used to love the simplicity of those interfaces in v3 for an example : fabioquadros_
itman 929
My fondest memories of Eset is for any version prior to ver, 9. In ver. 9, Eset switched to the Metro GUI interface and usability thereafter as far as GUI options "went out the window." I also still remember the "pain" caused by having to manually re-enter all my ver. 8 HIPS rules since Eset provided no conversion tool to do so.
