snester23 0
We recently begun rolling out ESET Endpoint Antivirus 7.2 to our user base. Out of 200 or so users, we have about a dozen complaining that Outlook no longer syncs for them. We've tried enabling the option to "disable checking upon inbox content change" without any luck. We're going to try disabling the Outlook Add-in for now, but that's not a good long term fix. I have a support ticket open with ESET, but wanted to try this avenue as well. As some background, these are all Windows 10 Pro x64 laptops running Office 365. We are using on-prem Exchange, however. There is no pattern to mailbox size or anything else we can determine. This is a pretty common setup, so I was hoping someone had come across this issue before.
Administrators Marcos 4,924 Posted March 6, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 6, 2020 Please raise a support ticket with your local ESET distributor since further logs will be needed and the case should be properly tracked in a ticketing system. snester23 0
Thank you for the suggestion. I opened a ticket with ESET directly yesterday morning, but have not heard back. I have the logs ready to go once we get a response. I'm just trying to cover all angles because a few of the users aren't happy about needing to resort to webmail. snester23 0
It seems that disabling the Outlook add-in does resolve the issue in time. I'm considering this only a temporary work-around, but it's proof that ESET is to blame. The only other thing these users have in common is that they all recently had ESET installed.
