neocheung 0
My English is not very well, so I hope you guys dont' mind. Today, I tried to update Google Chrome from old version to the latest version. Suddenly, ESET popped up a window and warned the link of the installer contained a virus called "URL/Urlik.AAO Object" I updated on Google Chrome, so I have no idea why I get this warning. Administrators Marcos 4,919 Posted March 4, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 4, 2020 It was a false positive that was fixed at about 2:45 AM CET shortly after the update in which it was introduced. The FP didn't affect files on disks, only download from certain urls. We apologize for inconvenience.

User21000 0
I second jnsjns's question. Can your team provide more details on the false positive? It was extremely concerning to receive a "Malware outbreak alert!" warning this morning for something that was a false positive.
Administrators Marcos 4,919 Posted March 4, 2020 Administrators Share Posted March 4, 2020 As it was already mentioned, the detection was a false positive and occurred mainly on Chrome urls. It didn't affect files on disks, only download from the web. Camilo Diaz

I assume this was not related to the detection discussed in this topic, is it? V6.5 has many bugs that were fixed in later versions. I don't recall any issues with Adobe Reader crashing with v6.5. Since newer version have protection modules reworked, upgrading to it may cease certain issues from manifesting, e.g. just because we stopped using a specific Windows API function to achieve something.
