Theodoros 0
Hello all, I have a few offline clients, connected in a private lan and running ESET Endpoint Antivirus, Version 6.6.2078.5 and want to update the engine and virus definitions. Cannot put the clients online or set up a mirror server so i need a way to download the definitions and software and manually update them. Anyone has any idea how to do it? I can't find something relevant... Thanks in advance.
Administrators Marcos 5,250 Posted January 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 29, 2020 You can use the Mirror tool to create a mirror: https://help.eset.com/esmc_install/70/en-US/mirror_tool_windows.html. Then you can transfer the content of the mirror to offline clients on a usb flash for instance and update the clients from it. Also we recommend upgrading to Endpoint v7.2 as soon as possible. Theodoros 0
Thanks Marcos for the prompt reply. So first is best to download the Endpoint Antivirus installer, upgrade to 7.2 and then use the mirror tool for the definitions update? Administrators Marcos 5,250 Posted January 29, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 29, 2020 Correct. The mirror tool can create a mirror for various product versions so you may use EP6.6 for a while and upgrade later, however, due to big improvements in v7 in terms of security and protection I wouldn't hesitate with upgrade.
