How is malware in attachments found in Domino

I have asked an ESET sales engineer and saleperson, but they are not familiar with how anything works with Lotus Domino.  In plain English, when and how is malware discovered and quarantined on a Lotus Domino 10 server by the ESET Domino server product?  Also are macro viruses detected in the same manner?

I was skeptical of your answer, but happily, the links provided cleared everything up.  Some of that information should make its way to the promotional material, because those materials are just empty words, especially when dealing with a minority product like Domino.
