The information on the box is wrong printed, it says it has the characteristic of eset internet security and it hasn't

Please contact your local ESET seller or distributor. In most countries we do not sell boxed versions, only a digital license. Even boxed versions are produced by local distributors.

Return it to the seller and get your money back and buy a license through the online store, it's much better faster and might be also safer than getting a box from unknown source.

It has the characteristics of ESET is a strange sentence. That would suggest it was similar to ESET but not ESET

It's an original product, bought it at best buy, they sold the box with a license number... but the box had the information of eset internet security and the license was for eset nod32... They told me at best buy they can't refound the money because it's a provider mistake

Can you please send us the photo of the box, and your license key? We would verify whether the license was incorrectly issued. Also, our solutions now do provide "multi-product" installer, meaning you can theoretically install just NOD32 Antivirus and activate it with your license (but it should be possible to change the product afterwards).

Just checked Best Buy web site in the U.S. and the box cover clearly states "Multi-Secuity": https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?st=eset+multi-device+security&_dyncharset=UTF-8&_dynSessConf=&id=pcat17071&type=page&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=&sp=&qp=&list=n&af=true&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960&keys=keys . So I don't believe that is what happened here.

If you purchased Eset via credit card and this matter cannot be resolved by Eset, call your credit card provider and dispute the transaction with Best Buy.

Looking at a boxed version of Eset I purchased, there is nothing on the box labeling that would indicate it was manufactured by anyone other than Eset.

Important question - did you verify that the box was factory sealed when you purchased it? What may have occurred here is Best Buy placed a returned Eset box back on the shelf with the CD within the container swapped for a NOD32 one.

Also of note is Eset does not shrink wrap the CD container within the box as I recollect. Nor is the box itself shrink wrapped. Therefore, making the above activity hard to detect.

I would dispute the charge with your credit card bank. I refuse to shop at Best Buy anymore. I bought a Roku device from them that was defective out of the box. I went back to Best Buy and they refused to refund or exchange it. The excuse given was that Best Buy is having a dispute with Roku. They would not elaborate any further. I said why should the customer suffer for your dispute? No answer to that. I ended up getting my money back by disputing the charge with my CC bank.
