Angie Hz 0 Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 The information on the box is wrong printed, it says it has the characteristic of eset internet security and it hasn't
Administrators Marcos 5,452 Posted January 26, 2020 Administrators Posted January 26, 2020 Please contact your local ESET seller or distributor. In most countries we do not sell boxed versions, only a digital license. Even boxed versions are produced by local distributors.

Most Valued Members peteyt 396 Posted January 26, 2020 Most Valued Members Posted January 26, 2020 It has the characteristics of ESET is a strange sentence. That would suggest it was similar to ESET but not ESET
Angie Hz 0 Posted January 26, 2020 Author Posted January 26, 2020 It's an original product, bought it at best buy, they sold the box with a license number... but the box had the information of eset internet security and the license was for eset nod32... They told me at best buy they can't refound the money because it's a provider mistake
ESET Staff MichalJ 434 Posted January 27, 2020 ESET Staff Posted January 27, 2020 (edited) Can you please send us the photo of the box, and your license key? We would verify whether the license was incorrectly issued. Also, our solutions now do provide "multi-product" installer, meaning you can theoretically install just NOD32 Antivirus and activate it with your license (but it should be possible to change the product afterwards). Just checked Best Buy web site in the U.S. and the box cover clearly states "Multi-Secuity": https://www.bestbuy.com/site/searchpage.jsp?st=eset+multi-device+security&_dyncharset=UTF-8&_dynSessConf=&id=pcat17071&type=page&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=&sp=&qp=&list=n&af=true&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960&keys=keys . So I don't believe that is what happened here. 18 hours ago, Angie Hz said: They told me at best buy they can't refound the money because it's a provider mistake If you purchased Eset via credit card and this matter cannot be resolved by Eset, call your credit card provider and dispute the transaction with Best Buy. Looking at a boxed version of Eset I purchased, there is nothing on the box labeling that would indicate it was manufactured by anyone other than Eset. Important question - did you verify that the box was factory sealed when you purchased it? What may have occurred here is Best Buy placed a returned Eset box back on the shelf with the CD within the container swapped for a NOD32 one. Also of note is Eset does not shrink wrap the CD container within the box as I recollect. Nor is the box itself shrink wrapped. Therefore, making the above activity hard to detect. ram1220 3 Posted January 28, 2020 Posted January 28, 2020 I would dispute the charge with your credit card bank. I refuse to shop at Best Buy anymore. I bought a Roku device from them that was defective out of the box. I went back to Best Buy and they refused to refund or exchange it. The excuse given was that Best Buy is having a dispute with Roku. They would not elaborate any further. I said why should the customer suffer for your dispute? No answer to that. I ended up getting my money back by disputing the charge with my CC bank.
