Ed76 0
Hi, when I turn my PC on and desktop loads, it takes 10-15 seconds for ESET Internet Security to load, is my PC protected (firewall and security) before those 10-15 seconds as soon as the desktop loads or only after ESET load screen pops-up? If it's the latter then there's a big problem. Thank you. Edited December 10, 2019 by Ed76

I see, so it starts before the ESET load screen shows up, or at the time when ESET load screen shows up? I guess what I'm asking is if someone is brute-forcing your IP 24/7, you turn your PC on and in those few seconds before the ESET is loaded but your PC desktop/internet is already on. In Win 10, Eset uses the Early Launch Anti-malware; i.e. ELAM, driver to load its kernel process drivers prior to any other non-device drivers. You can read about ELAM here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/drivers/install/early-launch-antimalware Aryeh Goretsky
