Using ESET with Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac

Hello All,

I bought the ESET Multi Device Security for 5pcs and 5 devices recently and I installed Parallels Desktop 9 for MAC on my new MacBook Pro laptop.

• How do I go about downloading ESET to this system? Which ESET product should I download for the MAC side and which ESET product for the Windows side? I installed Windows 7 via Parallels on the system.

The mail I got from ESET asked seem to ask me to choose;

• For Windows: ESET Smart Security and ESET NOD32 Antivirus
• For MAC: ESET Cyber Security Pro and ESET Cyber Security
• For Mobile devices: ESET Mobile Security For Android

 

Which is the best configuration to choose from, from the above list? Kindly send in qualified suggestions as soon as possible.

Hello Emma and welcome! 

 

This article should explain as good as it get's how the license system works. Including situations like when one would use Windows inside Parallels or similar. Mobile devices is explained under the Smartphone tab.(Android, Symbian, Windows Mobile.)

And the list you got from ESET is how you should do it.

 

(Windows side) On Win 7 you can install ESET NOD32 Antivirus or ESET Smart Security.

 

(Mac side) And on your MacBook Pro running Mac OS X you can install ESET CyberSecurity or ESET CyberSecurity Pro.

 

If you still is unsure just ask again.

To be clear, you mean I should load: 

 

Eset cybersecurity Pro on the Mac 

 

AND ALSO

 

load Eset Smart Security in the virtual machine running in Parrallels ?
