If you are signed up to Troy Hunt's Have I Been Pwned service you may have received an email in regards to this. Basically a large database was found online unsecure containing 1.2 billion records - these records seemed to be mainly public available information e.g. email addresses, social media accounts, basically things that people can possibly find but all included together. It doesn't seem things like passwords where included.
