Maarten 0
Hi, I've recently setup our new ESMC server and was able to let external clients connect to our internal ESMC server. Is it possible to create some sort of authentication so that people can't just connect to our ESMC server? It's on port 2222. Administrators Marcos 4,919 Posted November 28, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 28, 2019 If you want to temporarily block agents from connecting to the server, using iptables should work I assume:iptables -A INPUT -p tcp --dport 2222 -j DROP
Maarten 0
I've contacted our local Eset Callcenter and they told me that no one can reach the ESMC Server without the proper certificates. Thanks for you help anyways!
Administrators Marcos 4,919 Posted November 28, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 28, 2019 That's correct. I thought you would like to prevent existing clients who already reported to the ESMC server from connecting to it for certain time.
