Zurd 4 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 When doing a push install of ESET Endpoint Security on a client machine, he gets a window "New network connection detected" and needs to choose from either Strict protection or Allow sharing. A push install should not ask this on the client's machine. How to get rid of it? Here's the window: hxxp://kb.eset.com/library/ESET/KB%20Team%20Only/SOLN3116/SOLN3116FIG1-1.png
jonathan.deane_UK 10 Posted March 29, 2014 Posted March 29, 2014 Inside the package configuration, put the required IP/subnet in to the Trusted Zone section of the Firewall rules, this will prevent the window appearing on push installations.
Solution Zurd 4 Posted April 1, 2014 Author Solution Posted April 1, 2014 Thanks for the answer, I was able to figure it out. Actions / Manage packages / Choose your package / Edit selection configuration / Windows desktop v5 / Personal Firewall / Settings and there's an option for Do not show the dialog with protection mode I tried creating a trusted zone in "Rule setup" / Zones but that never worked.
