ArchyInUse 0
Hello everyone. I have a really bizzare problem with my computer right now, a few months ago my ESET randomly stopped working (I didn't install anything bad, usually very careful with that sort of stuff, I think I messed with the process while I was programming by accident) and ever since it never opened, no trace of it inside my task manager and I can't open it no matter how I try. I didn't think much of it until recently I noticed that my Spotify was blocked, as well as some other apps that specifically ESET blocked in the past unless I would give them permission to connect to the internet, it didn't block everything just specifc apps. Even though my ESET isn't opening and supposedly doesn't have any process open on my machine the same apps get blocked now, only this time there is no way for me to let them connect to the web. After my ESET stopped working my firewall became the default AV and I've tried turning it off completely (all parts of it) and a bunch of other things and I couldn't get Spotify to connect. My guess is that it still has to do with ESET which lead me to try to reinstall it. With that being said, I wanted a clean install so I went to my control panel, and tried uninstalling. when I try to completely remove it I get this message: https://imgur.com/a/F3LNWze and when I tried repairing it (Which is the 2nd option in the uninstaller) I get this message: https://imgur.com/a/kfS1uwb. (if I press ignore then it just keeps giving me this message for different files) I looked it up and tried doing something about it, I saw safe mode but that never ended up working out (didn't have permissions and when I finally got it to have the permission to uninstall in safe mode it gave me the same message), I've tried doing some AV scans with MalwareByte but nothing significant came up, as I said I suspect it's still ESET somehow blocking things. Can anyone help me reinstall my ESET?
Administrators Marcos 5,394 Posted November 15, 2019 Administrators Share Posted November 15, 2019 Please run the ESET Uninstall tool in safe mode. After booting to normal mode, install v13 from scratch.
